HOMECOMING

I got out of the car, carefully bundling up my dress so that it didn't get soiled. It was the home coming ball today, and Meredith had taken time to do my makeup.

She did everything to perfection I could hardly believe it was me in the mirror when I saw myself. The Roman baked powder she used on my face was such a fine blend you wouldn't know I had on powder. For my lips, she used nude lipstick and topped it with gloss, that my already plump lips become plumpier, full and glittering.

The person right in the mirror wasn't me. I could attest to that.

"Okay." Meredith said, "I want plenty of pictures and you better have a dance. Mascara is water proof just incase there's any drama. Your lipgloss and mascara are all in your purse."

I smiled. "Aren't you coming?"

Meredith smiled. "Best of luck . I've got plenty of things to do. Curfew is to not return home before midnight." She said and drove off.

I laughed and suddenly butterflies erupted
