Chapter 21

Herrin turned around and looked into Aslan's eyes.  Aslan didn't move until he saw walked into Alyne's room.  

In her room, Herrin found her lying down with a thick blanket wrapped around her body. Slowly he walked closer to her and sat on the side of the bed.  He then rubbed her sweaty cheeks.  Cold.

Herrin sighed. Aslan's words echoed in his head. His hand swiped the black hair that covered some part of her face. 

"I can't make you happy, can I?"

He stroked her long hair. Feeling disturbed, Alyne suddenly held Herrin's hand on her head and opened her eyes slowly. 

"Herrin?"  She thought it was Aslan.

"Hmm." 

With his help, Alyne sat down and leaned against the head of the bed. 

 "What are you doing here?"  Alyne's tone sounded different than usual, this time it sounded more... Cold. Herrin's body feels like swelled with guilt.

"Sorry Alyne.."

"Herrin, please
