Chapter 23

Her long hair blown by breeze and her eyes are currently focused on the basketball field which is filled with boys playing during recess.

From the rooftop, she could see a group of schoolgirls shouting at boys, because their handsomeness has increased when playing basketball.

"Alyne," called Herrin from behind, making her turn around and find him sitting on a long seat made of wood that has been there for some time.

He beckoned her to sit beside him. Alyne stepped closer to him and sat next to him.

"Alyne," Herrin called, reaching for one of her hand with his both hands. His face suddenly turned sad, making her heart a little touched.  

"Don't leave me Lyne," Herrin suddenly whispered in a hollow and desperate tone.

Alyne shook her head slowly while looking at the pair of brown eyes in front of her. 

"You are the one who left me, Herrin."

His body tensed up. She was right, he had always left her. Andvwhen she started
