CHAPTER SIXTY-SIX

Alan walked in “Why is her scent lingering here since morning?”He thought, dropping his suitcase on the couch.

Ashley hid inside the curtain at the other end where his mind wouldn't go to, she held her breath hoping he wouldn't find out.

“Ahh, I am so tired” He mumbled, rubbing his neck.

Thud!! something fell where Ashley had hidden.

“Hmm, what's that?” He stood up and headed in the direction of the sound, Ashley trembled as he walked closer and closer.

She held her breath, He held the curtain,

Ring Ring!! His phone rang.

Alan left the curtain and went to pick up his call, she released her breath.

“Yes, what's the problem” He spoke to the person on the other end of the phone as he entered his bathroom.

“Thank Goodness” Ashley murmured and sneaked to the door, opened it lightly, and scurried to her room.

She banged her door and held her chest, breathing heavily.

“You were almost caught?” The worker asked, making her jump up in fret.

“You scared me, I almost forgot you were still here”
