Ghost of the Past

"Kieran?"

I turned only to find his familiar face. He was wearing that usual white clothing and black pants. He must really like wearing simple clothing.

"It's been a while since you came here. Don't you miss me?" He joked, trudging near me. He sat beside and stared at the little fairies flying around with a genuine smile in his face.

"Drop the act."

My words made him turn in my direction. I can feel his gaze at me but I chose to look in front without meeting his gaze. 

I was betrayed enough I can't endure looking at him while hearing the truth from his own mouth.

I feel like I will get betrayed once again today.

But still, I don't want to live with lies anymore. I wanted to face the harsh reality even if ti breaks me. 

Because a hurtful truth is better than a sweet lie.
