CHAPTER THIRTEEN

The shock filled me when I saw Chris on the other side of the door. Rosemary got an important call about emergency surgery. So she left and planned to continue our shopping in the evening. We were staying at his parents' house for a few days until renovation finished at his house. My heart began to pound loudly in my chest. I grasped the door knob in my hand. The pain shot through my arm but it couldn't stop the fear that was crawling down my body gradually.
