CHAPTER 23

The drive to the police station was a blur one. Colton's mind raced as he tried to come up with a plan to save himself and his father.

He knew that the evidence against them was strong, but he refused to go down without a fight.

He hissed each time he felt the harsh pains of the bruises he got, probably from the helicopter's wreckage.

His father was in a separate car coming behind them. He just couldn't believe that he had been caught. What would this mean for him, for his name, his company?

"Hey, you know, you surprise me Colton. I always admired you. Who would've known that you are simply a crooked twisted man?" Officer Don broke the silence in the car speaking with Colton as he stared into the mirror.

Colton didn't give a reply. He really didn't know what to say.

He couldn't even look at himself in the mirror placedin the car. His own eyes sometimes scared him. No one, absolutely no one had seen him this way, except his dad and Beatrix.
