CHAPTER 24

Jameson arrived at the police station to meet Ethan, who was still under detention.

As he approached the interrogation room, he could see Ethan's face through the small window on the door. It was clear that Ethan had been through a lot, and Jameson felt a sense of guilt wash over him.

He knew that he had betrayed Ethan by sharing confidential information with Colton, but he was also determined to make things right.

"Hey, Ethan," Jameson said as he entered the room. "How are you holding up?"

Ethan looked up and gave him a weak smile. "I've been better, to be honest," he said. "But I'm hanging in there. Honestly though, it sucks here!"

Jameson laughed calmly. "What did you expect? To be caged in a paradise? Haha." He managed to force out a smile to cheer Ethan, but Ethan sensed something was not okay.

"I'll kill you man. You laugh at me huh? It's hell in here. You just don't know. And what's with you? You look sad" Colton cried out jestly, then he made a serious face..
