30. The First Time

Elisa didn't know why she told him all these things that she kept to herself for years. Who was Ansel to her? She didn't know.

When she thought about it, she didn't even know if she should consider him her friend. But he did save her from a monster, and she felt oddly comfortable in his arms. She thought about not telling him the rest, but he was staring at her intently and waiting for her to open up more. She felt grateful to have someone to talk to.

"Okay, um...if I told you all these, you promise not to judge me?" Elisa asked.

"Then just trust me," Ansel said.
