Ember sat in her room, tears were streaming down her face uncontrollably. Her mind was flooded with a lot of questions that she knew she had no answers to. She felt like she was losing breath, everything seemed to be happening so fast for her. The man that she married in the name of love turned out to be a liar.

She blamed herself for being stupid and blind, for trusting a stranger. A man that she had never met before. Maybe if she had said no to his proposal she wouldn't be sitting here crying. Maybe if she had just gone back to her apartment after Dean dumped her, she wouldn't have gone to that party and she wouldn't have met Axle.
