Zora’s point of view

While discussing my life with Derrick I didn’t realize I was crying, this was the past I never want to remember anymore, it was a long gone buried and forgotten past that I never want to remember.

Derrick pulled closer to me and cleaned my eyes, he noticed how hard I tried to hold back the tears.

I looked up to his face, he looked so concerned and worried. “I will make sure you never go through such agony again, you deserve to be loved and cherished and I would really be glad if I am given the opportunity to have you back, I'd make sure I never let you sleep away from my hands again, never ever.” He whispered as he was so close to me.

The words he said were the words I wanted to hear a long time ago, encouraging words. Words of affection.

I smiled as he said that, I felt warm and satisfied.

He leaned closer to me and kissed my lips, I was so shocked because I wasn't expecting it and I found myself not resisting.
