Thank you for reading everyone:)
The past days had been a stormy moment in the lives of the people around Ava, following the occurrence of the terrible accident she was involved in after receiving her awards, and the terrible news that was revealed on the internet that she was into drugs which was what caused her accident. That was the height of everything.Though the hospital had confirmed that no drugs were found in her bloodstream as a follow-up, there was still a need for concrete evidence to be able to dispel the news. To make matters complicated, the dashcam in her car, which was meant to confirm the last minutes before the accident, was missing. Ava suffered deep cuts, injuries, fractures, and a head concussion as a result of the accident, which was the reason for the first surgery she had after she was brought in. X-rays, full body CT, and MRI scans were carried out later, to determine the places she had fractures and dislocation. There were major ones in her right arm, legs, and neck. It complicated things.
Everywhere around was as quiet as usual, as the sound of clicking heels made their way hastily into the room. The room was almost empty with an air of peace swirling around the atmosphere, mixed with a seeping feeling of smothered ambiance that disrupted the easiness.Dim rays of the scorching sun struggled to penetrate through the open window, casting long distorted shadows of reflecting objects on the way. The room being on a high floor of the tall building, made it easier to get hot faster than the other rooms. However, someone didn't seem to feel that at all. She was looking out the window so intently. She stared so much that even if they knew someone was behind her, she couldn't look back because her mind was too fixated on the empty spaces. "What are you looking at?" Jordyn asked as soon as she pushed the door to the ward open, and entered with a huge basket of fruits, wine, and cakes. She was dressed in a burgundy tailored suit and wearing a black stiletto, as she looked so go
"Are you sure this is a good idea, Mum?" Ava turned to ask Jordyn the nth, "I do not think I want to go," she frowned again, the same way she had been doing since hearing what her mother wanted her to do. She was out of the hospital already after so long of being so suffocated by just the sight of the place, even if she had to return for her rehabilitation to the hospital at every scheduled time by the doctor. Her depression seemed to have reduced its effect on her attitude and outlook, and she seemed to have gone back to her former life. "I am fine already. How many times do you think I should say that for everyone to believe me?" Ava would moan and groan whenever she was returning from the hospital after her session had ended, and Jordyn had to ask the same question repeatedly, "I am….." she dragged. Jordyn made her take more psychological therapies to confirm that her depression was gone, and the therapist also confirmed that she was doing great with every session spent together
Anna sat in her room with a heavy heart thinking nonstop, about everything that had happened in the space of a few days to the present. The realizations that she had been kept in the dark about. The things she could never understand no matter how she tried to think of it, and didn't really even try to investigate why it was like that. To her, it was probably something unfortunate that happened because of a cause-effect occurrence of her actions. 'How would she have ever thought that someone would have it ready to set her up for ruin?' Her mind flashed back bitterly to the point where she opened the door to Ava's ward to give her usual recovery gifts, and met the most unexpected visitor in the room, standing and having a smooth and hearty conversation with Ava. "What the fuck are you doing here?!" She had yelled angrily at the sight of him with so much shock coursing through her body, as her eyes darted around to look at the remaining people that were also sitting in the room, when
"What? What are you doing here?" Ava asked Ethan with her eyebrows shot up, forming an arch of astonishment, with her words filled with nervousness and shock. "I was hired to be your helper," he said with a bemused smile because of the expression that was on her face, as he began to walk closer to where she was sitting. "What?! Are you are Mum in this together?" Ava asked with prickly sensations still shooting up her spine, as her hands fumbled with the bag that was placed on her lap to find her phone. She wanted to call her mother immediately. Ethan grinned widely again as he watched her panic, "There is no reception here, Ava. The calls will not go through," he said to her, as her phone slipped off her hand from her ear instantly. She checked her phone to see that there was truly no reception. "What?! What have you done to this place?" Ava asked with a frown as she looked around the deluxe vacation house, wondering why somewhere like that would not have a good reception for makin
Ava laid on the bed comfortably and faced the direction of the window, pretending to not know that Ethan had come into the room to drop the box she came alongside with. She didn't reply to the questions that he asked her repeatedly about the things she wanted and if the place was okay, just waiting for him to leave so that she would lock the door. Amongst the things Jordyn packed for her were the forearm crutches that she could use to move around comfortably, which Ava picked up immediately and used to support herself to sit by the window side that was the first to capture her attention. Looking outside at the surroundings of the vacation house through the window, put Ava at ease just by watching how tranquil the environment looked. From where she sat, her eyes caught the focal point of the landscape, which was the underground carved pool that lay nestled amidst a natural rock formation. The luxurious cushions and plush chairs that were around the fire spot outside were an invitin
Ava's hand compulsively began to search for her crutches nervously without looking, with her eyes still looking at him, before she finally realized the visibility of her actions. Her cheeks burned with intense embarrassment when she realized that she had been gawking at Ethan, and her eyes darted away immediately in an attempt to redeem whatever impression she had given him. "Look at me," Ethan said slowly to her as he swam even closer to where she was, and brought his hand out of the water to touch her left cheek softly. Ava froze at that action because of how cold his palm felt against hers, but it was almost like there was another reason which made her body react like that other than the cold. The touch of his fingers against her cheeks ignited a glow in her like a spark, and she felt herself consciously succumbing to whatever he was doing. It was repulsive, and yet invoking. He wasn't doing so much and yet her body felt like it had been yearning hard for just a slight graze o
The atmosphere in the office was tense with an air of anticipation which was hanging heavy, and behind the imposing mahogany desk, was Jace sitting languidly on this chair. His hand tapped rhythmically on the table slowly as he continued to meditate, with his eyes unconsciously darting to the phone which was on the table too. He had been trying to call and text the same person over and over again, and it didn't seem like she was going to pick up or reply anytime soon. It frustrated him so much. "We just need your signature, sir," The head manager said again for the second time, wondering if her boss had not heard what she said the first time. However, Jace seemed so lost in thought, and at the same time brewing with intense anger. He had been trying to call Ava but to no avail, and had been trying to get across to the kids too. It was difficult to endure the rage that was coursing hard through his veins too. "Sir?" Vivian called him again. "Just drop the damn paper and leave! Plea
