Pressure that'll tick!

Ava's hand compulsively began to search for her crutches nervously without looking, with her eyes still looking at him, before she finally realized the visibility of her actions. Her cheeks burned with intense embarrassment when she realized that she had been gawking at Ethan, and her eyes darted away immediately in an attempt to redeem whatever impression she had given him.

"Look at me," Ethan said slowly to her as he swam even closer to where she was, and brought his hand out of the water to touch her left cheek softly.

Ava froze at that action because of how cold his palm felt against hers, but it was almost like there was another reason which made her body react like that other than the cold. The touch of his fingers against her cheeks ignited a glow in her like a spark, and she felt herself consciously succumbing to whatever he was doing. It was repulsive, and yet invoking.
