Chapter 60

Martin doesn't care whether his mother sees him with Felicia or not. He walks over to sit alongside Felicia and talk to her, as she hasn't even eaten half of her bread and is still holding it.

"I'm sorry for what happened," Martin tells her, but Felicia remains silent and immovable.

He hums her name, "Felicia," but she continues to sob.

Martin tries to wipe her tears away, but Felicia pushes away his hand, knowing her foster father is in his room.

Martin sighs and looks at the dining table. "Fine, I will try and look for an apartment, so we can move out and have our freedom."

Felicia looks at him with opened lips, wanting to say something, but shakes her head.

She cannot abandon her, madam. She adores her foster mother and cannot break her heart.

"No," she says, still sobbing, but Martin does not respond as he stands up and goes out of the dining room.

Felicia looks at Martin departing and recalls how he looks like a knight.

She gulps and feels her tummy grumble loudly in hung
