Ch47 - Think of your son

“Where have you been?”

Anastacia asked when she saw Mariane entering from the back. She also noticed that her daughter’s eyes were swollen, causing her to stop Mariane.

“Wait, are you crying?” Anastacia asked.

“Nothing,” Mariane said as she hurriedly went inside their room.

She looked at her son, who was still sleeping, and she lay down beside him.

“I don’t know what I should feel about your father. Son, forgive me if I can’t forgive your dad for what he did to me.” Mariane wiped her tears while whispering to her son about her worries.

She sniffed and continued talking. “I hope you understand me, son.” Mariane gently caressed Jacob’s hair as the little kid moved.

“If only he hadn’t raped me back then, maybe I would have treated him differently now. maybe my admiration for him will develop even more.’ She thought.

Knock… knock… knock…

Mariane got up when she heard a knock on the door.

‘Who could it be?’ She wondered.

‘It’s probably not David, is it?’ She gasped.
