Ch88 - Recover

Anastacia arrived at the hospital before dawn. David was still sleeping in a long chair across from Mariane’s bed when the door suddenly opened and Anastacia appeared with a basket of food. David was surprised, causing him to wake up.

“Aunt Ana?” David frowned as he wondered why Anastacia came so early.

“What are you doing at this hour? It's too early.” David asked as he looked at his watch and noticed the time was just four in the morning.

“I can’t sleep worrying. How is he? I'm sorry I couldn’t come yesterday.” Anastacia apologized.

“It’s alright. I’m sure Mariane would understand because you also need to take care of Diego.”

“Why don’t you want to accept my offer to hire a private nurse so that it won't be difficult to take care of Diego?” David asked.

“It is expensive to pay a private nurse. I can't afford to have one.” Mariane stated.

“I told you, I will be the one to pay,” David said, but Anastacia still shook her head.

“Mariane will be mad if I accept your offer.” David smiled
