Mariane looked at David. Her eyes watered, as she was worried about what would happen to her face after the operation. And how would Jacob react if he sees her mom with her face covered with a bandage?

Mariane made a hand gesture to David, she was asking for a paper and a pen. “Doc, will my face change after the surgery?” Mariane wrote in a paper as she asked the doctor.

“Well, we can bring your face back, but it will take a long time. We can also change your face if you want to.” the plastic surgeon said and smiled at her.

Mariane hurriedly flipped the pad paper into the next page, and write. “No, Doc. I don’t want to change my face. I just want my face back from before. My son might not recognize me if I change my face.” Mariane said.
