Ava's POV

That night, I went to bed with sweet thoughts. The evening I had was what I had not expected.

Sighing, I looked out my window at the stars twinkling, and it seemed as though they were winking at me.

I smiled and thought about the events of the evening, starting from the surprised look on Tom's face when he saw me in that pretty dress.

I didn't know when I slept off, but I slept in such a way I hadn't slept for ages. I slept like I had no concerns, no problem at all.

The next morning, there was a knock on my door, and I stood up to open it. It was a bellboy with a package in his hands.

"Good morning, Mrs. Lockwood." He greeted me with a slight smile on his face, and I scratched my neck. I didn't find it great to be seen in a nightgown first thing in the morning by a bellboy.
