Chapter 12

Katie's POV

I couldn't believe it when I heard the news. Sophia had somehow convinced Alex that I was cheating on him. All it took was a few photoshopped pictures and a few lies, and he was convinced that I was sleeping with someone else.

I tried to explain to him that it was all a setup, that Sophia was jealous and wanted to break us apart. But he refused to listen to me, and instead, he accused me of lying and cheating.

I was devastated. I couldn't believe that the man I loved, the man I had married, could think so little of me. I felt like I had lost everything.

But things were about to get even worse. A few days later, Alex came home late from work, and I could tell that something was off. He was distant and cold, and he refused to talk to me.

That's when he dropped the bombshell. He had slept with Sophia.
