Chapter 48 - "We are pulling the strings."

In a cozy corner of the local tavern, Stacy, with a beard touching the surface of the table, sat with Jenn, excited, wide-awake and with all sorts of emotions painted on his dwarfish face. The events of the lighthouse had left a mark on him and he still could not believe, what had just happened.

Stacy took a deep swig from his tankard of ale before he began recounting the harrowing tale. "Aye, Jenn, it was a night of terror and sorrow in that forsaken lighthouse. We thought we were going there to put an end to Dervel's reign of evil, but little did we know the price we'd have to pay."

Jenn nodded, her eyes filled with bewilderment. "Jasmine had to pay for her dad’s sins but Blaze? Michael must be shattered."

"Aye, he is," Stacy sighed heavily. "Dervel was a vile creature, no doubt about it. He had done terrible things, and I knew we had to stop him. But seeing Michael's heartbreak and witnessing Blaze's sacrifice, it's something that will haunt me for a long time."
