Chapter 122: Agatha's Story

NEXT DAY

“Austin,” said Agatha, brushing his hair away from his forehead.

Austin was tired and he groaned roughly, “Yes?”

“May I tell you about my past.”

His eyes still closed, and he shifted his body towards her. “Sure. Go ahead.”

“Do you- Do you want to know?” she questioned his sleeping face.

“Ah-hmm.”

“Do you?”

“Just because my eyes are closed doesn’t mean I am not listening to you, my beautiful wife.”

A small laughter escaped her throat. She then lean against him and said, “When I was little, I set the courtyard on fire because I- I lost control.”

“Lost control?” asked Austin, with one of his eyebrows lifting.

“Yes. The maids were abusing me. Physically and mentally. So, in raged, I- I lost myself and set everything ablaze.”

“Oh, so that’s what happened?” His eyes opened and he looked at her.

She nodded her head at him. “Do you think I was cruel?”

He shook his head and said, “No. Everyone has their limit. You held on long enough.”

I really hope it's Grandpa there to rescue them, tell them they're doing a wonderful job, and all the good feel stuff!

Which is something I thought she could do considering she'd leave her cell. But this chapter shows why they're perfect for each other. They're both working on balancing the world back out AND she can take his excess darkness from him; helping him while also empowering herself! Now, Grandpa? I hope..
