Chapter 41: Two Become One

Riona POV

"Are we late? What time does he usually do that?" I was gasping while running really fast with Baron. I spoke to him in his thoughts.

"Usually after twilight Argo comes out. He might be somewhere now. Hopefully in the forest. D*mn, Hamil isn't in the mansion. Victor is with him. They are looking for his female friend!" Baron answered while he was panting. 

We were both dead worried Master Matthew might have begun alarming the city or worse cast blood scent in the air. We jumped high over the rocks in the woods, ran as fast as an arrow on the side roads avoiding creating clamor from the people. The lamp posts on the side streets were dim, car headlights were everywhere, the residents locked their doors and windows when they heard growls from us. We were causing attention now, we had to hurry before it would get to worst! 

"We are here!" Baron halted in front of the wide and high iron gate.
