Chapter 14

Ava sat beside her mother in law with a sweet smile on her face. It had been weeks since she last saw them and she missed them.

" I'm fine mum. You didn't tell me you will be coming around." She muttered and her eyes danced around the couples faces.

Harvey's father chuckled. " Sorry my dear. We wanted to surprise you but we didn't know you won't be at home. Where have you been?" He asked calmly and his wife nodded.

Ava smiled. She dropped the bag that was on her shoulder and sighed. " I was out with my friend because I was too bored at home. Harvey is always at work and he hardly comes home during the day. " She lamented and her face turned dull as if she was really suffering because of Harvey's nonchalant attitude.

Harvey raised a brow and opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something but a look from his father shut his mouth and he could only look on helplessly while Ava kept acting out and lamenting to his parents how hard she hardly see his face and how busy
