Chapter 64 - Rogue Attack

Ciara’s POV

The smell of rogues was so overpowering, I instantly knew we were dealing with more than one. Owen pushed me behind him trying to shield me while his friends flanked his sides. We were not in a good situation, and we all knew it. With our backs against the guard rale, we didn’t have room to escape. Exposed in the middle of nowhere, no backup, and surrounded by rogues was a recipe for disaster or worse – meeting our maker at the ripe old age of too young to die.

‘Shit, Ember, we can easily figure out how many we are dealing with if we could use our Owl vision. But someone might notice our eyes change colors.”

‘Just do it... This is really bad. Really, really bad, CJ.’ Ember growls in my mind. She was pacing back and forth; the fur on her back was sticking straight up, bristling with rage.
