CHAPTER 30 - Whimsical

Detective Amiri's POV

That was a very busy time at nightfall. Journalists and news anchors are encircling an infrequently visited area. Cameras flash from various angles on the lifeless body of the young man who was brutally murdered. Police officers were prowling the surrounding areas searching for further clues in the desperate hope of apprehending someone partaking in suspicious behavior.

A young man, presumably in his early twenties, lies motionless behind the towering trees and shrubs. He was deeply scarred on the left facet of his chest, in which the most vital part of his organ, the heart, was missing.

I slipped on a latex glove and began examining the corpse's body. I was able to retrieve the man's wallet, which contained large sums of cash, multiple credit cards, a couple of condoms, and some personal identification. The man's name is Andrew Wilkins, he is 24 years old, and he appears to work as a landscape architect.
