Chapter six

Rielle moved a bit but groaned due to the ache she felt in her head. She slowly opened her eyes and put a hand on her forehead.

It took her some minutes before she was able to see the difference in her surrounding. She was in a different room and not the one she knew.

It then occured to her that she was in a different place and had encountered a scary scene before she passed out.

Scared about being in that room, she sat up and rubbed her arms. The atmosphere in the room only brought her fear to a high level.

It was an empty room with the bed at the middle. The painting were in grey color and the drawings where in dark colors unlike the ones she saw, which were in golden colors.

"I see you are awake." a voice spoke behind her, jerking her out of her thought and letting a shout escape her lips.

She looked at the man who had spoken, and her breath seized. The same face she had seen in the bathtub. The man who was emitting mist from his body and looked like a demon ready to feed on her soul.

"Please, do not harm me!" she cried and tried to move, but her legs felt stuck to something invisible.

He stood up, but almost fell back to his chair. Holding himself back, he lurched to where she was and sat down before her.

Rielle was able to see his face and what he really looked like. That moment, she wanted not to see him as someone attractive but a hideous monster, even though he was so attractive, like an evil, handsome and hot, demon.

His eyes were dark and black, and visible veins drew a stem like structure in his face starting from his chin down to his cheeks. Like a tattoo, drawn on his face.

Realizing she was staring and analysing too much, she quickly lowered her gaze as her heart was throbbing fast that he could hear it sound and clear.

"Too weak for a creator. I thought we would have a duel but you will end up dead before I give you the first blow."

Rielle shivered at his voice and closed her eyes tight. His voice was void of any emotions, but rather, sounded so cold that she felt threatened without him threatening her.

"Pl.....please. Let....let go of me. I.....I.... beg you." she shuttered, not daring to look at him.

Mercury only stared at her, not looking away. Things he loves to see are when people are intimidated by him. When they beg for mercy from him and are willing to do anything to get that mercy. That was what he loves the most. The creator begging him made him feel invincible.

He wanted to enjoy that moment, but he was running out of time. "You have a job to do, then I can let you go without harm."

She slowly raised her head but down down immediately. "What job?"

He moved closer, "You killed Keisha and now, you will have to bring her back."

She quickly looked up. "I didn't kill....." It then occured to her.

She remembered what had happened to her the night she got drunk. She tried killing herself but she didn't, then she went back to her apartment. Seeing how perfect Keisha's life was, having two men willing to do everything for her and everyone adoring her, she killed her. She killed her female lead out of jealousy.

She narrowed her eyes, putting every puzzle together. She was in her own story? Mercury, Hermes, Levi, Keisha...... She gasped loudly realizing that.

"I....I am in....in my story?" She looked at Mercury with enlarged eyes. "You.....you are Mercury from my story?"

Not understanding what was going on with her, Mercury held her hand tight, causing a cry to escape her lips. He was only concerned about getting the deal done.

"Like I said, you will bring back Keisha and nothing more. That is why you are here."

"You are hurting me. You don't have to be so merciless to me. I created you, remember."

Mercury was taken aback by her sudden boldness, but his face still remained stoic. He tightened his hand more. "I don't care."

Rielle was in so much pain cause of his brutality towards her, but then an idea crossed her mind. She was in the world she created. Her own world. The real world was wicked to her. She never got any joy all her life. It was an opportunity to create the world she have ever wanted with the kind of people she always wished for.

She looked at Mercury and her lips curved into a smile. In her novel, Mercury is one of the strongest people, almost impossible to fight cause he sold his soul in exchange for power. She made him powerful that it would be impossible to bring him down. She did it cause she had a plan to power up the male lead.

If she could get Mercury on her side, she would be invincible. Rielle was surprised at herself. She should be worried and bothered about being in a different world but here she is, happy about everything. Happy that she was in a world she created and can control at her own will.

"You want me to bring back Keisha but you are about to break the hand that would do that." she said, rather boldly.

He is Mercury who is so obsessed with Keisha. He wouldn't kill her or harm knowing that she is the only one who could bring her back.

Mercury, not expecting the sudden turn, let go of her hand thinking to make her pay for it later on.

Rielle bent closer and rested her hand on her palms, making a v-shape. She rise the corners of her lips as she stared at him.

"In the world were I came from, nothing is for free. Besides, I am the creator and if you need something from me, you have to pay with a price."

He raised a brow. "What price?"

"Risking it all to protect me. You have to promise to protect me. I mean, if I am harmed or killed, that is good bye to bringing back Keisha."

His protection is all she needed. With his protection, her plan would come into place.

"If I protect you, you bring back Keisha?"

"Yes, I will."

Rielle smirked inwardly. 'I am in my world, a world I created. Keisha is no longer the main lead cause I have come to take that part. I am the main character of my own world?' she thought and brought her hand forward.

"Deal?"

Mercury stared at her suspiciously.
