"Do you have any idea why the council would want to see you?" Isabel asked.
"Can't you tell already? I'm as confused as you are right now. I've never been asked to the meeting room so abruptly before," Amelia replied and Isabel sighed.
"Do you think Ryan would be there? I don't think they would just call you without Ryan's permission or something," Isabel said and Amelia ran her fingers through her hair tiredly as she thought of all the possible scenarios that could go down in the meeting room.
"Knowing how cunning these men are, I wouldn't put it past them to invite me there without Ryan's knowledge and also, if I'm gonna play the role of the Luna, I need to start getting used to situations like this. I can't always have Ryan defending and shielding

Adrian asked, with his eyes growing ten times wider than usual."I a... agreed to be a part of the blood moon festival as requested of me by Lord Nigel and the council members," Amelia replied nervously, hating the fact that they were all making her feel foolish for agreeing to be a part of it. Amelia woke up with beads of sweat formed on her forehead. She kept panting heavily and was struggling hard to get back to her regular breathing pace. She looked around her bedroom not exactly sure what she was looking for but when she confirmed that there was no one else in the room besides herself, she let out a sigh of relief. She didn't remember exactly what had instilled this fear in her but for some reason, she couldn't help but be conscious about everything around her. Thankfully, she wasn't one to sleep in a dark room so she was able to see every corner of the room clearly and because of this she was a lot more confident about the fact that there was nobody in lurking in her room and that she was just waking up from a really terrible lie to me that happened to seem very real.
