"They'll kill her? Just because she's the Luna? What the actual fuck!" Isabel whisper yelled furiously as the mere thought alone baffled her.
"That's why I'm letting you know now that it's actually more dangerous than you think. The council members don't like their authority challenged and that is why they hate both Ryan and I. They'd rather put an Alpha that they can easily control on the seat than obey the one they'd like to believe is mentally unstable. Over the years, they've argued that Ryan should step down from his position as the Alpha because he isn't fit to be there but lucky for us, as much as they hate Ryan, they also fear him which is why they haven't achieved their aim so far," Adrian explained and Amelia scoffed.
"Isn't Ryan an only child and isn't the Alpha position more like a monarchy?" Amelia asked, wondering why they'd want to overthrow the only heir to the position.
