Chapter 80 Snow Day

The room seems brighter than normal as I open my eyes. Outside it seems more peaceful than normal, not even the wildlife were chattering. Glancing down at my mate I smile and hug her even closer, she was still facing away from me, and her mouth was open slightly; her quiet breaths were deep and rhythmic. After a minute she starts to move but instead of opening her eyes she turns over and folds her arms into herself as I hug her tighter, in a protective manner. She still hadn’t put on a top and I just marveled at her beauty. Eventually, I smile and put my nose back in her hair, closing my eyes and relaxing again. Soon I hear movement and open my eyes and check the time. Yeah, that’s about right, its after 8am and Nick’s pain medicine is wearing off, I sigh as I start to hear him moving through the intercom and he starts to cry in pain.
