Chapter 35: Surprise (Matthew)

“Are you ready?” I ask as I lead Audra into the main living space of our new home.

“Just show me already!” She exclaims, trying to brush my hands from in front of her eyes.

“Ok, open!”

She looks around and gasps. She doesn’t need to say anything. Her face says it all.
