Tired With The Distance

Melanie had come to their department with those officers. She was afraid till her core. She wanted to cry because she had never witnessed something like this, let alone be a part of it and on an above, all alone.

Currently she was sitting in front of 3 officers, who were questioning and she was answering whatever she knew.

"So you've just joined your work and haven't even completed your studies?" The officer asked. She gulped and nodded.

"Then how did you get such a high and relevant post in Mr Salvatore's company without having any high academic certificates or degrees?" The officer questioned while staring at her suspiciously.

Her throat dried up. She had no answer to it because she didn't know how to answer it, why he had appointed her as his assistant when she hadn't even completed her education or academic knowledge.

"Are you trying to hide something from us, Mrs Salvatore?" The officer gave her a warning gaze. She shook her head reluctantly.
