16. Begin Again

Elisha’s POV

"How could he treat me this way?" I muttered as I walked up to my great-grandmother's tiny, old rag house. The house my grandma left behind has been empty for fifteen years. It looked like a cabin in the woods because the house was mostly made of rocks and wood that were found in the area.

I didn't think I'd be in a situation like this, so I guess my world just turned upside down this time.

I called a handyman in this small town who said he could help me slowly fix up this area. I only paid him by the hour. Then I had to clean up the area, even though it took all of my time. When I saw that my bank account amount was only $20,000, I clicked my tongue with frustration. I could be a VIP at a party just once with this money. Instead, I pay attention to what's necessary.

I’m sorry but Elisha needs to wake up and realize that her sister and mom are spoiled. They are not invalid and can work. If that were me I’d let them rot.
