46. Who Are You?

Elisha’s POV

When I heard a deep voice outside, I slowly turned my head. He was really desperate to see me. I could hear him yelling my name from everywhere in the room, and Jake grabbed my hand and said, "We need to hide yourself."

"Hide?" I wrinkled my forehead in confusion.

"Why should I hide?"

Granny Pearl went outside, and she screamed angrily at the man. "She's not here!"

The man said desperately, "I know she's here. Bring her back to me."

Jake tightly held my hand and put me inside the room, "Don't go outside; remember, that man out there is dangerous."

I heard another growl outside, and when I looked, I saw that it was Bert yelling at the strange man. I didn't listen to Jake, so I ran out to see what was happening. I looked over and saw Bert's neck being ripped open with the man's bare hands, and my heart sank in fear.
