Elisha’s POV

Madeline's claw was getting longer and longer, and she looked at me with red eyes. She stood up and was about to grab me, but I stepped back and looked for something that could protect me from her. I grabbed a bat, and she gave me a wicked grin. "You sure? A bat? Do you really think that will scare me?"

She took a step forward, and when she did, her face changed into something I couldn't even explain. She seemed to change into a human animal right in front of me. Then she grabbed me by the collar and threw me against the wall. I slowly crawled on my hands and knees, groaning softly in pain. I grabbed the doorknob to open it, but she stopped me. "Where do you think you are going? Do you think you can run away from me? No, you'll die today, and you'll feel the pain of my anger!"
