“Where are you two off to?” I heard Caiden ask.
Shit! Are we going to get caught before we could escape? Noooo… I want to get out of here.
“We are going for a drive. I feel suffocated here. Adrian is accompanying me.” Lizzy said in a sad voice.

“Is she alright?” Caiden asked.

“No. She is in a major shock. The wounds are healing but they might leave marks. We don’t know if the blood we gave her will work or not. This incident will scar her for life. I just wish I’d have been there before the damage was done.” Her voice cracked at the end. “I need to get out of here for a while. Will you please make sure Damien does not go near Eve? I don’t want him near her. It won’t be good for her right now. She is having nightmares and panic attacks. I don’t want Damien to ruin what little progress she is making.” She said in a pleading voice.

“We will take care of the luggage later. Let’s meet the alpha first.” Liam informed.We entered the house with Liam and Lizzy in the lead and Adrian and I following close behind. The living room is huge. We can fit a small house in it. There are stairs in the back of the room. We walked there but didn’t take them and entered the lift. Liam punched a code and the door closed. The lift started moving upwards. The lift stopped at the fourth floor and got out in the foyer. We turned right in the hallway. There was a door after few foot. A table was placed there with a person sitting in one of those big office chair. The back of the chair was facing us. I was so engrossed in my work that I was startled when my phone went off. Who calls this late in the night? I checked the caller id to find none other than my second in command Liam. It’s been a month since Evelyn, Lizzy and Adrian came to the Night Walker pack. They were introduced to the pack at the end of the first week there.As the pack didn’t have the Luna, Lizzy had to fulfill the part of the beta female as well as Luna. That kept her busy all day long. Adrian joined the warrior training and has been training pretty hard to fit the brief.Evelyn on the other hand helps in the chores of the house, from cooking to cleaning. Anything she can help with.The doctor had advised her to rest but she didn’t want to free load, so she does whatever work she can. She still gets nightmares frequently but has learned to cope with them a little. Damien had smashed the things in the room. The last month went good and uneventful which I am grateful for. I am gaining weight at a rapid rate though. I had started to have weird cravings and I eat almost all the time I am not doing anything.Today I have my first ultrasound appointment and I am really excited about it. Adrian is going to come with me to the appointment and Lizzy is going to be my doctor. I hope my baby is alright.We just had our breakfast. The appointment is at eleven, which is in two hours.
