Chapter 27- Evelyn
I woke up in horror. It’s just a dream. I am alone in the room.
Adrian and Lizzy must be making arrangements for the move in the night, more like running.
Will the Alpha of the other pack except me? Maybe not as I am not a werewolf. I should make a move from there as soon as I am well enough. I don’t want to cause them any trouble. I will be a huge liability to them as I am so weak.
But where will I go? I can’t go back home. My parents will surely not accept me. They will be disappointed that I am still alive. Maybe I can find a human community nearby and settle there.
I don’t have any money on me. I will figure something out. I might get a job.
Smile Evelyn. Everything will be alright.
Adrian is not here yet that means it is still early. A loud growl interrupted me from my thoughts. Thankfully it is my stomach asking for food. I just ate though.

What if I am pregnant? I know I won’t abort or give up the kid. But I am broke. How the hell will I take care of the kid when I can’t even take care of myself? I felt dizzy from all the thinking. “We will take care of the luggage later. Let’s meet the alpha first.” Liam informed.We entered the house with Liam and Lizzy in the lead and Adrian and I following close behind. The living room is huge. We can fit a small house in it. There are stairs in the back of the room. We walked there but didn’t take them and entered the lift. Liam punched a code and the door closed. The lift started moving upwards. The lift stopped at the fourth floor and got out in the foyer. We turned right in the hallway. There was a door after few foot. Liam knocked on it and a ‘Come in’ came from inside in a gruff voice.The first thing I saw was the glass wall. The entire wall in the back was made of glass, with the view of the jungle. A table was placed there with a person sitting in one of those big office chair. The back of the chair was facing us. I was so engrossed in my work that I was startled when my phone went off. Who calls this late in the night? I checked the caller id to find none other than my second in command Liam. The following day I woke up early in the morning as we are going to have visitors coming and went to my office at seven in the morning. What is this loud beeping in my ears?Who the hell set the alarm?Please someone just shut that damn thing down. It’s been a month since Evelyn, Lizzy and Adrian came to the Night Walker pack. They were introduced to the pack at the end of the first week there.As the pack didn’t have the Luna, Lizzy had to fulfill the part of the beta female as well as Luna. That kept her busy all day long. Adrian joined the warrior training and has been training pretty hard to fit the brief.Evelyn on the other hand helps in the chores of the house, from cooking to cleaning. Anything she can help with.The doctor had advised her to rest but she didn’t want to free load, so she does whatever work she can. She still gets nightmares frequently but has learned to cope with them a little. Damien had smashed the things in the room. Broken lamp, pictures, etc. were lying everywhere.“Yes.” Damien’s said in a hoarse voice.‘He doesn’t have the right to sulk’, Caiden thought.“Alpha Lizzy, Adrian and Evelyn have left the pack last night.” He said in monotone.“Evelyn” Damien said testing her name.
