Chapter 15: The Transcendence

Dylan's POV:

He couldn't get his face straight and be serious for a few seconds. He once again starts laughing so hard with teary eyes and almost ran out of breath.

"Do you honestly think that you had a chance together? A sicko Djinn and a freak of nature together, what your children will be like, world's abomination?" he sarcastically said.

Reality hits me hard with those words. What was I thinking? We are somehow destined to be cursed, and happiness is not part of our vocabulary. It's a luxury we can never have. I never expected that truth can hurt this much.

I took a deep breath, release an audible sigh and look at Aria one last time before I turn my back and walk outside the cave. Cerberus followed soon after. I lead him far away from the cave so Aria and my hellhounds will have a chance to escape from there. I communicate with my hellhounds telepathically and gave them an instruction to flee the cave once the coast is clear.
