Chapter Fifty-five

Bernard stood outside the abandoned warehouse. He pulled back the side panel and stepped through it. He flicked the light switch and sighed when the lights flicked on. It had been a while since he had been there. He looked at the dust that had accumulated after decades of nonuse. He sighed and looked around. He hadn’t been here in years though he was glad that he had kept the building despite not knowing if he would need it. It was a part of his past. The building that  gave him his start in the underworld. He began to pull back dusty tarps exposing the furniture that he had left behind.
