“But without a dragon, without Nova, I couldn’t fully be your mate!” I whispered as my eyes burned. Mateo quickly pulled me into a hug. I felt so weak, and I had never felt weak in my life. Without Nova, it felt too empty, too lonely. The silence was like a pit, slowly trying to swallow me. I knew I shouldn't give in, but I couldn't help it.
