Chapter 70

King Ate POV

A week has passed since I saw Samantha. There have been instances that I almost went to her. My heart has been aching without her by my side. It wasn't that bad when I didn't know what we had. I asked some soldiers to keep an eye on her.

My first worry is Jodie. I need to find her as soon as I possibly can, however, there has been no trace of her. I have received no more notes either.

I did tell Samantha's parents what was going on. I just wanted someone close to her to also keep her safe.

The phone rings and I pick it up.

"Ate this is Samantha's father. I do not know what is going on but Samantha is not at home. I spoke to the soldiers outside and they also have not seen Samantha leave the house. I do not know where she is." I feel my heart stop. This is not happening. Did Jodie get to her? I took all the precautions I possible could.

"What do you mean she is missing? I have not been informed that she left the house."
