Mondays

Taran stands close to me as we walk the museum tour. I see Bryan with another girl, and I feel my heartbreaking. After treating me the way he did, I shouldn’t want him, but I do. Bryan was the first man I ever saw past a fling. We were serious, and I willingly gave him my heart.

Tears sting my eyes as I watch him with her. For the entire tour, all I can do is watch Bryan. Does it hurt him as much to see me with Taran as it does to see him with another woman?

There is free time to look around before lunch. Taran walks beside me without saying a word. My chest aches after watching Bryan with that girl. I’m trying to focus on the assignment to find a painting or sculpture that speaks to us, but I can’t find anything so far.

I turn the corner and find Bryan and the girl kissing. He has her pushed against a wall, and their hands are roaming over each other. I turn and run towards the bathroom, I hear Taran call after me, but I don’t stop. Tears are already falling
