Where do we stand?

Bryan and I sit in a park. He bought us lunch and got us a blanket to have a picnic. Though I don’t understand everything, Bryan explains all about werewolves.

“Why didn’t you tell me about being a werewolf?” I ask.

Bryan looks slightly embarrassed, “I wanted us to commit to one another. Like either living together or married. I know it sounds bad, but I knew if I waited, you would stay with me.” He lets out a sigh, “That’s why I gave you an ultimatum about moving in together. Tru, I’m taking over as alpha when we return home. It’s a stressful job, and I need a strong luna beside me. I need someone smart, kind, and that won’t put up with anyone’s bullshit. I need you.” He doesn’t look at me when he says, “My destine mate rejected me. She didn’t want me. She was in a relationship with someone else and had no intention of leaving them. It was humiliating.” Bryan’s
