A moment later, there was another knock on the door. This time the person waited to be invited in. Niko nudged me after I didn’t respond. I wasn’t used to this type of treatment. Rushed over to the door opening it to see Mary.

Veronica POV I entered the room around 11:00 AM. Our schedules were off due to the travel. Nikola came out of the bathroom wearing only a pair of basketball shorts. Veronica POV Niko and I ran through the woods chasing a few bunnies along the way. After about 45 minutes we reached a small creek. I pranced over to take a drink, wagging my tail towards Niko playfully. The way the moon danced on the dark water was mesmerizing.
