Chapter Twenty-one

''So Elly. What brought you here?'' Alberto tells me his gun never leaves my head. He pressed it harder as he pushed me into one of the club's rooms and locked the door. I could feel the fear rising in me, but that didn't help stop the words from coming out of my mouth.

''Well. Let me say I came here to kill you,'' I say as I take a seat in a chair that is near me. Keep yourself together, Elly. If you break, you're dead.

''And what makes you think you can do that?'' he says as he lets out a chuckle. I stare at him. There is no emotion on my face as I look at him and then at the gun. ''Oh come Elly. Do you really think you can take me down?'' he says in a sarcastic tone.

''What makes you think I can't?'' I feel a wave of confidence rushing through my body.
