Jade pursed her lips and shut what was on her mind. Shame covered her face. She was totally naked and before she was not used to teaching herself so her movements were fast and awkward when she got out of the bathtub and grabbed a towel to cover herself. But she was sure that the wolf had seen everything again. That created a strange feeling in her stomach.
-The clothes are on the bed, it's your size- Vladek pointed over his shoulder and the girl passed by leaning slightly by her side without looking at him and leaving a fine trail of moisture on the floor.
Her foot no longer hurt, she ran to the bed and dropped the towel to the floor, putting on her lower robe. She felt the weight of the wolf's gaze but she didn't deign to turn to check it. She was half dressed when the door slammed open with a tray of food.

A growl came from her throat and Jade wanted to pull away. This time Vladek let her go and waited for her clothes to be adjusted, which she did quickly. Vladek said nothing. It was a natural reaction that she would have to become familiar with. Even if he had bitten her without her consent, her body now belonged to him, at least most of it. Jade clenched her hands on her thighs. After what he had said, she felt truly ashamed. She hadn't planned for it to turn out that way. Now she had to face the consequences. His mind began to process too many things. She was panting. The pain wasn't constant, it just came in waves that disappeared. Even so, Izen finished leading her to her room, leaving her sitting on the bed. He paced the room from one side to the other without knowing what to do. He could go to rest because he was exhausted but he didn't want to leave the human alone. What if it got worse? Not that he could do much. A loud crash illuminated the old window covered by a light gauze cloth. Outside you could hear the drops breaking against the walls and wood. Alone, empty, there was absolutely no one in that room. What the hell The hairs on the back of Vladek's neck stood on end. He entered the room, the somewhat messy bed had not been used but did not have his smell. In contrast, the chair to one side was still warm. The old curtain was shaking violently in the rain, revealing the window without blinds, just a hole with no security at all. He growled to himself, he had been very careless. -Izen- he just murmured in a serious tone, in less than a minute the lesser wolf appeared through the door with red eyes but shaking his head to get rid of sleep. It wasn't normal for her to call him that. But when he went to speak he also noticed the empty room. She buried her face in Vladek's neck. At least at that moment the man was her only anchor. And his scent was a great relief to her. The wolf advanced with more and more difficulty. The rain only threatened to get even stronger and with no evidence of ever stopping. He had already lost his own trail so returning in those conditions and with the human in his arms falling to the bone would only make the situation worse. So after walking at least a mile more he saw a cabin with a stable. It looked old and abandoned but at least it was a roof they could take refuge in. For the first time, he was grateful that something like this crossed the path. If it was him alone, he could come back safely but he didn't know how long the girl could hold out. Approaching he realized that the cabin was in worse condition than he had imagined, part of the roof was completely shattered and the open windows only let the cold wind filter through. Vladek noticed the change in his partner's reaction to him. She felt equally anxious, nervous, and confused. It was natural. He was going through the process of adapting to her brand. She had made an effort to fill the room with her scent in order to calm the austere environment a bit and make the human mind deviate a bit from the reaction of her body as well as the cold it was doing, although he knew it was not the healthier action.
