The hairs on the back of Vladek's neck stood on end. He entered the room, the somewhat messy bed had not been used but did not have his smell. In contrast, the chair to one side was still warm. The old curtain was shaking violently in the rain, revealing the window without blinds, just a hole with no security at all. He growled to himself, he had been very careless.
