Vladek jumped to his feet before he attacked the young woman again and threw his clothes at his chest.

Jade followed Vladek upstairs without asking much. She kept behind him, surreptitiously looking to the sides, checking the enormous number of people who were in the inn and who did not remember the first day they had arrived. A sound behind her distracted him for a moment and he looked over her back. A beam of silver light was directed towards them and Jade only had time to take the dagger in her belt and bury it in the flesh that was rushing towards them both. After the abrupt movement Izen turned and cut off the head of the man who had attacked them from behind. Jade stood still watching the body detach from the dagger and her hands were now full of blood. Without anticipating it, she began to tremble.
