"What is it with you?" I asked Saf because I could feel her getting more and more jumpy in my head.
Sometimes I wonder why we even have an Alpha is he has to run everything by the council.
Luna left the room leaving Atlas and me alone. He just stared at me for a few minutes, I imagined he was talking with his wolf. I noticed Saf wasn't by my side instead she tried to get closer to Atlas."Come here." I accidentally said out loud which made Atlas think I was talking to him. He can't know Saf can leave my side."I thought you wanted to keep your distance." Atlas said as he began to walk closer. "Unless our kiss left you wanting more.""Can we please have a normal conversation? Sit down." I say as I take a sit myself.
"Of course. I am willing to let go of the fact you lured me, drugged me, took me back here unconscious. But the fact you left after I told you we were soulmates, that I can't forgive.” He genuinely looked hurt, something Saf didn't like, I imagine his wolf didn't either."Atlas first of all, I only did what I was hired to do." Which was true. "Second, I can't speak for you but as far as I'm concerned we are not soulmates. I don't feel the bond you claim we have." Great, not only did he look at me all hurt but Saf growled at me as she went to sit as close to him as she could.
"I am confident in what I feel, and so is Sky." He said as his eyes glowed.
"Sky is your wolf?" I asked as Saf lifted her head."Yes, and yours is?" Atlas returned the question."Safire, but I call her Saf." He kept looking at me as if he was trying to memorize every feature of my face."Safire." He said out loud and she jumped at his feet making my body jump up as well. Atlas called out her name and she came to him.
"I can reach him, Kaya, he is telling the truth. He is our soulmate." It can't be, but the further she moves away my body inches closer to Atlas."What is happening?" Atlas asked as he got up.
"You called for my wolf and she came to you." I say unsure of how was that even possible."Saf come back!" I ordered her but she didn't listen. She was sniffing for Sky, as Atlas looked like he was stumbling around."Sky." I say and Atlas falls to the floor as his wolf materializes from nothing in front of my eyes and comes to my feet."What just happened?" Atlas asked as he got up and walked in front of me, Saf by his feet.
"Why is Sky by your feet? How is he by your feet?" He asked and then looked down."Kaya, why is your wolf by my side?" Now we were both in shock."You can see her?" I asked, but if I could see Sky he could see Saf.
"Yes, you can see Sky?" We switched wolves."Yes, I can see him, now tell Saf to come back." I tell Atlas who is still confused."Saf, go back." He orderd and she obeyed. Now I had two wolves by my side, rubbing their heads in each other. Soulmate, our wolves were soulmates. But what about us?
"Sky come back." Atlas called for him but he didn't listen. If Atlas can command Saf, maybe I can do the same with Sky."Sky go back to Atlas." I ordered and he obeyed."What does this mean?" I was still in shock.
"It means you have to stay here, so we can figure it out." Atlas said as he came closer to me.Stay here, in the pack house. When I have so much to investigate, I need to find out where I came from and I can't do that if I am stuck here. But then again, it's not like I have a place to stay.
"I do not want to be trapped here, and I don't want people to think of me as their future Luna." Why do I feel bad all of a sudden?"Would it really be so terrible to become my Luna?" He said as he closed the distance between us.I don't have words to answer that question, especially not with Atlas so close to me.
"Kaya." He said my name as he lifted my chin to meet my eyes. His hands crossed my cheeks while his nose played with mine until our lips finally met. At first the kiss was gentle, and tender but it grew more passionate by the second as his hand came around my waist while I dragged my through his hair. Our moment was suddenly interrupted when Jeffrey opened the door.
"My apologies young master, our Luna sent me to escort Miss Kaya to her room." Jeffrey said as I stepped back from Atlas trying to cache my breath."Way to ruin a moment Jeff." Saf bickered."It's all right Jeffrey, I hope you assigned her a room close to mine." Atlas told Jeffrey as he touched my lower back. I have to put some distance between us and clear my thoughts about everything that just happened. While a storm was at it's peak, and the rivers were going wild, the trees snapping and clouds were covering all the stars, deep into the forest, lost in the dark was a cabin. While from the outside it would appear to be abandoned in this night of full darkness, destiny was unraveling itself. Throw the hall, in a small room, with nothing but candlelight a baby was being born.Only thing to be heard were muffled screams and the sound of shoes stamping on the wooden floor, the woman managed to remove the rag from her mouth and cried out, "I can't do it anymore! Help me!" She pleaded with the midwife. The midwife glanced at the woman standing nearby, who simply shook her head and sat down on the bed. With a stern expression, she turned to the woman in agony and said, "You got yourself into this mess, now you have to get yourself out of it." But then, the midwife's demeanor softened slightly as she got up from the bed and reassured the woman, "Just one more push, a big one, and it will be o
"Our Luna would love a word with you, Kaya." Said the man as my mom and dad stood up from the table while Jack placed himself between the man and me. "What is this in regards to?" Asked Jack. "It's a private matter, Miss Kaya let's get going." "I'll come with you." Jack said. "That won't be necessary, it was instructed for her to come alone." Jack and dad were about to protest but I cut them off. "It's fine,I'll be back in no time." Right? I thought to myself as I slipped my phone in my back pocket. As I was going I squeezed my parents hands. As I came outside I saw 3 big black SUV cars, our royals really liked to travel in stile. "Over here, Miss Kaya." The man said as he oped the door for me.I don't like when people take away my control. "Thats ok, I'll follow you in my jeep." The man simply closed the door and looked at the other man before getting in the car. Seeing the mark on their necks, the hanging half moon I suspected they were mind linking eachother. That was the p
"My soulmate."I'm sorry what?"W..Wh...What?" Is all I managed to say. To say I was shocked was an understatement. But he just keeped looking at me like I was miracle happening before his eyes, his hands holding my face so tenderly."You are my soulmate." Atlas said again."Hello, earth to Kaya!" Yelled Saf in my mind knocking me back to my senses. This is not happening, he's lying.I don't feel anything. If he were truly my soulmate I would feel the bond."Yeah nice try buddy."I said as I moved his hands from my face and took a step back. His hands fell to his sides , confusion all over his face."You don't feel this?" He asked me."Look, your little trick could work on a human but obviously not on a she wolf.""This is not a trick." He says as he tries to touch my hand again but I take another step back. To that I hear him growl."Hey girl this round is on you." Said the girl as she passed me a cocktail."All rounds are on me." Atlas said as he waved to the bartender. The girls seemed
"We should really stop at the bakery first, you are starving," Saf said as my stomach growled."You are right besides, Mom and Dad are already there. Knowing them, this particular assignment has them worried."As I arrived I went in through the backdoor. The radio as always was blasting the music. Eye of the tiger. Dad's favorite.I grabbed the chocolate croissant from the tray when I realized most of the trays here were full. And that is odd, with our sales dad normally runs up and down exchanging trays. "I hear something," Saf said.I moved further in, the office door was slightly ajar. Jace was in there with Dad."Have you heard from her?" Jack asked."I'm sure she's alright Jack." "I should have gone with her.""Jack the order was clear, she had to go alone." Dad insisted."Screw that." Jack cursed."It's getting harder for you to control it, isn't it?" Dad said as he put his hand on his shoulder. Jack just looked at his feet clenching his fists."You know it's impossible my boy
As Safire got to the lake she laid down next to a big tree and let Kaya take control over her body and mind."You really needed that run didn't you Saf?" I say as I stretch my bones."We both needed it." Saf said as I pulled the clothes from the backpack and started dressing."So what is our plan, we can't hide forever they are going to trace us eventually?""I need answers, but I also need time to take this in." I say as I sit down under the tree."I can sense you are angry, but it doesn't make you love them any less." "Of course I'm angry, they lied to me my whole life. And yes I know what you are going to say, they love me like their own but that is not in discussion here. Trust is." I say with frustration."And the fact that Jake loves you." Saf so kindly reminded me."Don't ok, just don't go there.""I told you he gave me a weird vibe."Saf hummed in my head."He is my brother, I will never be able to see him as anything else. Honestly, I dont know how to even look at him anymor
