Chapter Fifty-nine

Wolfshade and Bloodmoon

I sneaked out on the cold night. Almost everyone in the fort was asleep, except for the men on guard.

I knew where they would be keeping Gabriel. I knew every corner in this Fort like the back of my hand now. And I could go anywhere I wanted. But I still needed to be careful because this time I was sneaking my way around where they held prisoners.

I hid from one of the guards who was sitting at the entrance. I took a pebble, throwing it in the opposite direction to divert the guards's attention. He fell for it because he rose to find out what was producing the sounds. With that, I successfully found a way to get in.

I wasn't sure if Gabriel was sleeping but he had his back to the cell. There was some haystack on the floor.

"Gabriel." I called out but he didn't move, so I whispered louder "Gabriel! Can you hear me?"
