A Great Sacrifice

Gabriel growled in pain. There was nothing he could do. The executioner was set to decapitate him.

I begged for mercy but it only made matters worse.

Lyra comes rushing in with the twins.

she must have heard that Gabriel's head was about to be chopped off. "Please don't hurt him. Alpha Kane. I beg of you." Lyra pleaded, she must have inquired about why I never showed up when I promised I would which led her to find out about Gabriel.

"Aha. So those babies were with you all this time! Bring them here, Lyra." Alpha Kane ordered.

Lyra hesitated, she could not stop crying as she looked at Gabriel. A guard held her on the spot and motioned for her to step towards Alpha Kane.

She took a step forward. "Lyra, please! Don't give my babies to him!" I cried out.

I couldn't stand Alpha Kane taking my babies away from me. They must have known that their mother was in some kind of trouble because they began to cry. Their cries made me want to protect them from Kane.
